Bull on the loose causes havoc

A young bull broke free from the vehicle he was being transported in and ran through the streets of Eldorado Park.

Johannesburg - A young bull broke free from the vehicle he was being transported in and ran for about 10km through the streets of Eldorado Park during lunchtime on Saturday.

Children, who weren’t accustomed to such a sight on their streets, chased after the animal and threw stones at it.

The bull caused havoc along the main road in the area when it ran between vehicles and occasionally bumped into some of them.

The beast then made its way to Freedom Park, where a group of brave young men cornered it in the fire station’s yard, but only after it had rammed a woman and child against the boundary fence there.

The person transporting the animal collected it from the fire station. He said the bull had escaped after his vehicle had overturned.
