Armenia should play more active role as bridge between Iran and EEU
YEREVAN, April 21. /ARKA/. Armenia should play a more active role as a bridge between Iran and the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), the chairman of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Armenia, Arsen Ghazaryan, said today.
In his words, Armenia should work more actively with Iran after the lifting of sanctions against this country. He says entrepreneurs of the two countries have been very active and there is evidence that several previously signed bilateral agreements will be reactivated this year.
He says the agreement on creation of a free trade zone in Armenian Meghri has great potential, as well as the exchange of electricity.
"We invite Iranian companies to set up enterprises in Armenia and use the brand" Made in Armenia "to export products to European, US and Russian markets, with which our country has preferential trading schemes", said Ghazaryan.
He noted that the production potential of Armenia is quite sufficient for this; the only problem is the logistics schemes, which are gradually improving. -0-
