Ajax 'really proud' of Man Utd whizkid Tim Fosu-Mensah, but...

Ajax management are pleased for Tim Fosu-Mensah over his success at Manchester United.

The former Ajax junior has won rave reviews at United since breaking into the first team earlier this year.

"We are really proud of him, he deserves it," an Ajax spokesman said.

"He is lucky that he was taken by a manager like (Louis) Van Gaal who often watches young players. But he is doing well and in the end he did it himself.

"We invest heavily in our training, so it feels bad when a talent is leaving so early. But there is little we can take action against."
