Real Madrid firming up interest in Watford wing-back Miguel Layun

Real Madrid are firming up their interest in Watford wing-back Miguel Layun.

The Mexico international has enjoyed an outstanding loan with Porto this season.

Don Balon says Layun is under consideration at Real as cover for Marcelo.

The Spanish giants intend to offload Fabio Coentrao, currently on-loan with AS Monaco, and sign a replacement, with Layun high on the agenda.

Porto can sign the wing-back permanently for €6 million, but Portuguese sources say there's been no decision made inside the club.
