FTSE LIVE: Footsie slips as oil price rally consolidates, ahead of ECB

After opening modestly higher, the FTSE 100 index eased back 10.9 points, or 0.2% to 6,399.4, having closed 4.91 points higher yesterday to extend the previous session’s 2016 peak.
