Sony's Standalone 'Spider-Man' Movie Will Feature Marvel Characters

It's rare you'll find two major studios sharing a piece of tentpole property as valuable as Spider-Man, but that's indeed what's happening with Marvel and Sony. After the latter delivered two shaky "The Amazing Spider-Man" films that drew criticism from fanboys and lower-than-expected box-office returns, they struck a deal with Marvel which would allow them to share the rights to the webslinger. Thus, the new Peter Parker, played by Tom Holland, will be popping up in this summer's "Captain America: Civil War" for Marvel while getting his own movie for Sony. And it looks like Sony is going to get a few Marvel characters to leap into their picture as well.
