Worker who died in Coquitlam trench collapse identified

A construction worker who died Tuesday while digging a trench for a sewer line has been identified as 31-year-old Eric Lee Bird of Vancouver, the B.C. Coroners Service confirmed Friday. Bird, also known as Eric Starr, was buried when the trench collapsed on him about 10:45 a.m. that day while working on a Coquitlam site.
