Woman airlifted off Table Mountain

A woman was airlifted off Table Mountain after suffering a heat stroke, paramedics said.

Cape Town - A woman was airlifted off Table Mountain on Thursday after suffering a heat stroke, paramedics said.

Chitra Bodasing from ER24 said rescue technicians from Metro Rescue went up to where the woman, believed to be about 60 years old, was and Skymed was dispatched to airlift the patient.

“Upon arrival they found that the woman was in a critical condition. She was treated, stabilised and airlifted back down where she was handed over to ER24 paramedics.”

She was treated and transported to hospital for further medical care.
