FTSE LIVE: Footsie stays lower on final half-day session of 2015 hit again by worries over weak oil

By mid session, the FTSE 100 index was 16.2 points, or 0.2 per cent lower at 6,257.9, having closed down 40.52 points yesterday as weak oil prices once again took their toll.
