Three people were killed in a collision involving four cars on the N1 outside De Doorns.

Cape Town - Three people were killed in a collision involving four cars on the N1 outside De Doorns on Tuesday morning, ER24 said.

“Paramedics found a badly damaged Ford Focus and an Opel Corsa on the road. The Opel was on its roof,” the paramedic service said in a statement.

“Paramedics stated that two other vehicles were also involved in the incident. A man was found in the Opel and a woman and another man were found in the Ford. Sadly there was nothing that could be done for them.”

Three other injured people were treated on the scene of the crash and transported to a nearby hospital.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
