Ozil believes Arsenal has confidence to claim title

Arsenal star Mesut Ozil believes the North London club can win this season's Premier League title.

The Gunners defeated Manchester City 2-1 at home on Monday night to open up a four-point gap on Manuel Pellegrini's side who sit in third position.

Only Leicester City stand in the way of Arsenal claiming a first league title since 2004 and Ozil, who produced a pair of assists for Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud's goals, has high hopes for the 'happy' Gunners.

"We had a lot of difficult games but we are happy to win," Ozil told Sky Sports.

"All the team are happy, and me too. I am happy to help the team, you see that on the pitch. Today was again an important game and I try to give my best.

"We believe in us. We know our quality if we play our game, we can win the league. We will give all the season our best."
