YEREVAN, November 8. /ARKA/. The football federations of Armenia and Georgia are preparing a joint bid to host the 2029 FIFA U-20 World Cup, the president of the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA), Armen Melikbekyan said./pp

Hosting the championship will help develop infrastructure and attract attention to Armenia, Melikbekyan said in an interview with the Public Television of Armenia, reminding that this is one of the largest tournaments organized by FIFA. br Earlier, Melikbekyan announced that the Armenian government had a plan to build at least two stadiums before the World Cup./pp
Both are to be located near the border with Georgia. One of the stadiums is to be located approximately between the towns of Dilijan and Ijevan, and the other in the Lori region, most likely in its capital Vanadzor.-0-/p
