YEREVAN, November 4. /ARKA/. Armenia and Azerbaijan may switch to simplified customs and transit procedures if the border is unblocked, said Rustam Badasyan, head of the Armenian State Revenue Committee./pp

This means that we can exchange a lot of information with each other in advance. For example, our experience with Georgia has shown that if we send our export data ahead of time and they send theirs, the import procedure is actually simplified because certain information is already available, Badasyan said during discussions of the draft 2025 state budget in parliamentary committees./pp

He noted that another possible option is to provide photographs of the scanners in advance to mitigate risks. There are many such changes brought about by modern digital tools. This reduces the influence of the human factor and also impacts the speed of border crossing, eliminating queues, Badasyan said./pp
