Armenia's tax revenues grew by nearly 7% in January-September- head of State Revenue Committee

YEREVAN, November 4. /ARKA/. In January-September 2024, tax revenues reached 1.767 billion drams, an increase of 112.7 billion drams or 6.8% compared to the same period last year, according to Rustam Badasyan, head of Armenian State Revenue Committee./pp

This trend will continue to rise by the end of the year, he said during discussions of the draft state budget for 2025 in parliamentary committees./pp

He reported that currently, there are 768 thousand registered jobs in the country—42.5 thousand more than in the same period last year./pp

Badasyan emphasized that, thanks to tax administration, an additional 133.9 billion drams have been directed to the budget, which is 38.5 billion drams more than in 2024./pp

According to him, measures are being taken to reduce the costs of tax collection. Currently, 1.18 drams are spent to collect every 100 drams, with plans to reduce this figure to less than 1 dram. ($1 = 387.17 drams). -0-/p
