When the heating will arrive

- In most regions, heating starts from September 1 to October 15. But in some places heating starts even earlier. Starting from August, heating appears in houses in the north of Yakutia and Krasnoyarsk Krai, in Chukotka and other remote areas. On the island of Dickson the heat is supplied all year round - there the average daily temperature even in summer does not exceed +6 degrees Celsius.

- In the central regions, the heating season usually starts from October 1 to 10. In 2023, the batteries in Moscow turned on October 3. At the same time, two years earlier, heating began on September 13. In the capital, social facilities are heated first, then residential buildings, and after that industrial enterprises. In St. Petersburg in 2023, the heating season started only on October 15.

- On September 29, heating will begin to arrive in kindergartens, schools and hospitals in the Moscow region. The decision was made after the region experienced frosts down to -4.1 degrees for the first time since the beginning of fall.

- In the south of Russia, heating is turned on later than ever, as early as late October or November. For example, last year in Sochi the heat was turned on in full on November 15.

What to do if the heating is not turned on

- If the announced deadline for the start of the heating season has come, but the batteries are still cold, you need to determine the scale of the problem. If there is no heat in only one room or apartment, it is worth calling a master who will identify the problem and eliminate it. Usually this is due to a clogged radiator, air in the pipe, a faulty thermal head or a ball valve closed since spring.

- If heat is not supplied throughout the house, you should first contact the management company and then the heating company to find out the reasons for the downtime. If the problem is not solved or is ignored, you should contact the State Housing Inspectorate at your place of residence. In extreme cases, a request to Rospotrebnadzor or the Prosecutor's Office should help.

What to do in case of an accident

- Heating may not be due to an accident on the heating network. Such cases are possible, despite the fact that the preparation for the heating season is carried out all summer, for this purpose, heating systems are checked and repaired in advance, hot water is temporarily cut off.

- If the heating in the house is cut off during the heating season, it is also necessary to inform the management company. It is possible that she is already aware of the problems and measures are being taken to eliminate them, but it is still worth leaving a request to eliminate the accident. In rare cases, the heat supply company may be the culprit.

- The deadlines for eliminating emergencies have their own regulations. It is allowed to interrupt heating for no more than 24 hours per month, while maintaining a normal air temperature of at least +18 degrees Celsius. The lower the temperature in the room falls, the shorter the permissible duration of downtime. If the temperature has fallen to +8 degrees, the elimination of the accident should not exceed four hours.

- For exceeding the permissible interruption, there should be a recalculation of the fee for the provision of the service. It is necessary to call an employee of the management company, so that he measured the temperature and recorded the cooling. With the received act it is necessary to apply to the MC with a request for recalculation. Each hour of temperature deviation from the norm during the calculation period reduces the heating fee by 0.15%.
