Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said Armenia is ready to sign a peace treaty with Azerbaijan./pp “Armenia has a clear position and political will to sign a peace treaty with Azerbaijan in a short period of time, ,” Ararat Mirzoyan said at a meeting with Italian Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani on the margins of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York./pp

The interlocutors discussed the current situation in the region. The steps taken by Armenia towards the establishment of peace in the South Caucasus were mentioned./pp

Mirzoyan emphasized that Armenia's vision of ensuring stability in the region is based on unconditional respect for territorial integrity, principles of inviolability of borders, as well as initiatives aimed at ensuring economic interconnectivity./pp
