He stressed that the South Caucasus should become a region of peace and cooperation./pp “Armenia wants peace, France wants peace, the international community wants peace, and since Azerbaijan will soon host the UN COP29 climate summit, it must show that it too sincerely wants to achieve peace,” said Sejourne./pp

According to him, France also supports Armenia on European platforms, the EU monitoring mission in Armenia should continue, their presence is important in order to reduce risks./pp nbsp;Armenia must be able to protect its territorial integrity, its territory and its population. Cooperation in this area is also natural between friends, we cooperate exclusively with respect for sovereignty, without any will to escalate the situation, noted Sejourne./pp

On September 1, Armenia had handed over the 10th package of the draft peace treaty to the Azerbaijani side. On September 10, the head of the Armenian Government, Nikol Pashinyan, said that Azerbaijan had been asked to sign the already agreed text of the peace treaty, explaining that 13 points and the preamble had been fully agreed upon in the document, while three points had been partially agreed upon./pp

In response to Pashinyan's statement, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry called the Armenian authorities' proposal to sign the draft peace agreement by excluding the uncoordinated provisions from the text unacceptable. -0-/p
