The Armenian Ministry of Defense has refuted a statement from Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense, which claimed that between 12:15 a.m. and 1:05 a.m. on September 12, Armenian forces opened fire on Azerbaijani positions in the southwestern section of the border. According to the Armenian defense authorities, the allegation is untrue./pp

The ministry also reiterated that Armenia had previously proposed establishing a joint Armenia-Azerbaijan mechanism to investigate ceasefire violations or related claims, but Azerbaijan has yet to respond to the offer./pp br/p
