Central Bank of Armenia lowers refinancing rate to 7.50% in 11th consecutive cut

YEREVAN, September 10. /ARKA/. On September 10, the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) reduced its refinancing rate by 0.25 percentage points, setting it at 7.50%, according to a statement from the regulator. In addition to the refinancing rate, the regulator lowered the deposit rate to 6.00%./pp

This marks the 11th consecutive cut since June 2023, and the sixth reduction in 2024. The CBA's series of rate cuts began on June 13, 2023, when the refinancing rate was reduced to 10.5%. Subsequent reductions followed: August 1 (10.25%), September 12 (9.75%), October 31 (9.5%), December 12 (9.25%), and into 2024—January 30 (8.75%), March 12 (8.5%), April 30 (8.25%), June 11 (8.0%), and July 30 (7.75%)./p br br
