YEREVAN, August 22. /ARKA/. The conclusion of a peace treaty is crucial for restoring peace and stability between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said on Wednesday./pp

Russia has consistently expressed its interest in seeing this happen as soon as possible. We have done virtually everything to facilitate this process. Our commitment to continue assisting Armenian and Azerbaijani partners was reaffirmed personally by the President of the Russian Federation, Zakharova said during a briefing. She added that the Russian President plans to contact Armenia’s Prime Minister following his visit to Azerbaijan to continue dialogue on normalization./pp
