Trade between China and Africa is now worth more than $220 billion. Here’s an interactive graph that spells out the numbers.
|||#Focac: Johannesburg - In 1995, trade between Africa and China amounted to $3.9bn. That trade relationship grew steadily through the late 90s to hit $10.5bn in 2000.
In 2006 that number had jumped to $50bn.
2013 was the first time trade broke through the US$200bn mark and in 2014 it peaked at $220bn.
