YEREVAN, 27 June. /ARKA/. The Armenian government at a session on Thursday approved the sale of a land plot on Saryan Street in Yerevan for the construction of the World Trade Centre to the World Trade Centre investors.

The state-owned land plot is located between Saryan and Proshyan Streets, adjacent to the building of the Main Post Office (22 Saryan Street).

Earlier it was reported that the building of the former Main Post Office on Saryan Street will be demolished for the construction of the World Trade Centre (WTC).

The Armenian government approved the relevant investment project on 7 September 2023. The construction contract was signed on 30 April 2024. The construction of the centre will be carried out by Renshin Company.

The cost of the project is estimated at $212 million, the total area of buildings and structures will be 123 thousand square metres. About 50% of the business centre will be owned by investors, 19.82% by the state and 30.18% by Haypost National Post Company.
