YEREVAN, June 17. /ARKA/. It is too early to discuss a potential deployment of US military bases in Armenia, Sergey Naryshkin, the director of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service, told state agency TASS on Monday.

“Such discussions are premature,” he said when asked if US military bases are expected to be deployed in Armenia.

An earlier US-Armenia joint statement mentioned that the two countries look forward to strengthening security cooperation, taking such cooperation to the level of strategic partnership.
