Economy Minister: Russia doubles its imports of Armenian fruits in 2024

YEREVAN, June 14. /ARKA/. The exports of fruits from Armenia to Russia doubled in January-June 2024 compared to the same period of 2023, as revealed by Armenia’s Economy Minister, Gevorg Papoyan, on Friday./pp

He also mentioned that last year Armenia re-exported several thousand tonnes of kiwifruit to Russia, but this year saw a growth in exports of pears, apples, and apricots—fruits that are actually produced in Armenia, unlike kiwi./pp

Papoyan also noted that he sees no reasons that might cause issues with exports to Russia./pp br/p
