YEREVAN, 13 June. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case against anti-government demonstrators. who clashed with the police in the centre of Yerevan on Wednesday evening./pp

Armenian police detained dozens of demonstrators who had gathered for a rally outside the parliament demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan while he was answering questions from lawmakers during a government QA session../pp

Police used stun grenades to suppress the demonstrators. At 19:30 during the protest at the intersection of Baghramyan and Demirchyan streets, the protesters started mass disturbances accompanied by violence against the police officers on duty, whom they kicked and punched. The protesters also threw various objects at them, the Investigative Committee said in a statement./pp

It said the criminal case has been opened under Part I of Article 327 of the Criminal Code (participation in mass riots)./pp

Dozens of civilians and police officers sought medical help, the Health Ministry said. A patient with a wrist injury was operated on. There are no other people with serious injuries, the ministry said in a statement.- 0-/pp nbsp;/p
