Pitt’s talking about “By The Sea,” the third directorial effort from his wife Angelina Jolie Pitt. And he’s right about its scale. Perhaps wanting to shy away from the largesse of “Unbroken,” for her follow-up, Jolie decided to make something in the artsy European mold of the 1960s and ‘70s—a marriage in crisis with nods to filmmakers like Luchino Visconti, Michelangelo Antonioni and Roberto Rossellini’s “Journey To Italy.” Here’s the official synopsis:
