Justice ministry; some penalties in Armenia will be replaced with notices of warning
YEREVAN, October 28. / ARKA /. The Armenian ministry of justice is working on a bill that would replace a long list of pecuniary penalties with warnings, minister Arpine Hovhanisyan told a parliamentary Q&A session today.
She said the bill would not only cut the number of administrative offences subject to pecuniary penalties, but will also replace some of them with notices of warning. She said the bill will soon be submitted to parliament’s consideration.
She also spoke about the arrests of citizens’ bank accounts for their failure to pay penalties in due time saying the ministry is working to improve the system by intruding electronic payment of penalties through payment terminals. -0-
