Proteas win toss, opt to bat

SA won the toss and chose to bat in the fifth and final ODI against India in Mumbai on Sunday.

Mumbai – South Africa won the toss and chose to bat in the fifth and final One Day International (ODI) against India at Wankhede Stadium here on Sunday.

The Proteas made two changes to their line-up with Kyle Abbott and Dean Elgar coming in for Chris Morris and Aaron Phangiso. The move to have Elgar instead of Morris would be an attempt to boost the batting line-up with the Titans left-hander likely to find a spot in the top order.

India did not make any changes to their team that won the fourth ODI in Chennai on Thursday.

The series was locked at 2-2 meaning both teams had everything to play for in the contest.

South Africa team: Quinton de Kock (wk), David Miller, Hashim Amla, Faf du Plessis, AB de Villiers (captain), Dean Elgar, Farhaan Behardien, Dale Steyn, Kagiso Rabada, Imran Tahir, Kyle Abbott.

India team: Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni (wicketkeeper, captain), Axar Patel, Harbhajan Singh, Bhuvneshar Kumar, Mohit Sharma, Amit Mishra.
