Ex-teacher on trial for sexual assault and sexual interference

A former substitute teacher who was acquitted of allegations that he sexually touched his students is once again on trial for touching a child — this time the six-year-old daughter of an acquaintance. Aleksandr Vladimirovich Plehanov is charged with one count each of sexual assault and sexual interference of a person under the age of 16. Final submissions in the case took place on Thursday in B.C. Supreme Court in New Westminster. The trial began on Monday.
