Thomas Tuchel: I regret that we have to play without Henrikh Mkhitaryan

Head coach of Borussia Dortmund Thomas Tuchel regrets that Henrikh Mkhitaryan wouldn’t be able to help them in UEFA Europa League football match against Gabala.

“As a human and a sportsman, I regret that we would have to play without Mkhitaryan in Baku. I believe that football should be free from political conflicts, fears and burins”, the official website quotes Tuchel.

The coach highlighted that they decided to take the current tension into account. “We respect the situation and this decision is a great relieve for all of us”.

The German team is in Baku and the match against Gabala will take place today at 22:45.
