Men’s weightlifting team to be represented by 6 athletes at World Championship

Head coach Pashik Alaverdyan said to Mediamax Sport that European Championship silver medalist Vanik Avetisyan (69 kg), European and World Champion and bronze medalist of Olympic Games Tigran Martirosyan (77 kg), European Championship silver medalist Andranik Karapetyan (77 kg), winner of Youth Olympiad Simon Martirosyan (105 kg), European silver medalist Ruben Alexanyan and Youth Olympiad silver medalist Gor Minasyan(+105) will take part in the World Championship.

“The team is having training now in Tsakhadzor where it will stay till October 25. We will leave for Kazan after 4 days and have our last training. We will go to Huston from there on November 17”, Alaverdyan said.
