Economic activity in Armenia rises 3.7% in Jan-Sep 2015
YEREVAN, October 20. /ARKA/. Armenia's economic activity index rose 3.7% in Jan-Sep 2015, compared with the same period a year before, the National Statistical Service reports.
Consumer prices grew 4.7% in Jan-Sep 2015, compared with the same period a year earlier, while prices for industrial products slid 0.3%.
Industrial products worth AMD 948.3 billion were released in Armenia in Jan-Sep 2015 showing a 4.8% year-on-year rise.
Agriculture output amounted to AMD 710.4 billion in Jan-Sep (11.3% year-on-year growth).
Construction sector accounted for AMD 258.9 billion and 0.1% growth. Domestic trade turnover shrank 5.6% to AMD 1 620.6 billion. Services grew 2.5% to AMD 850.8 billion.
Armenia's foreign trade amounted to $3 457.3 million in Jan-Sep showing a 20-percent year-on-year decline.
In the government budget for 2015, GDP growth is projected at 4.1%. ($1 – AMD 473.13). --0----
