Small plane crashes into Bogota bakery
A light aircraft crashed into a bakery in Colombia killing all four on board and one person on the ground, sources said.
|||Bogota - A light aircraft crashed into a bakery in the Colombian capital on Sunday, killing at least all four people on board and one person on the ground, said fire and rescue sources cited by the El Columbiano news service online.
Other reports spoke of more than a dozen injured in the accident that occurred in a residential district of western Bogota.
Two of those original reported as injured were employees of the bakery, the national civil aviation authority said on its Facebook page.
Three commercial premises were damaged.
The Beechcraft 60 G-type “fell out of the sky” about 90 seconds after takeoff the city’s El Dorado airport, civil aviation director Edgar Sanchez said.
No cause of the accident has as of yet been determined.
