EU plans big assistance to Armenian SMEs in 2016
YEREVAN, October 14. / ARKA /. The European Union will show ‘big’ assistance to small and medium-sized enterprises in Armenia next year, Ludovic Ciechanowskiy, a diplomat in the EU Delegation to Armenia in charge of international co-operation, said today.
According to him, the EU decided to step up assistance to countries embraced by its European Neighborhood Policy program.
He said all the assistance projects will be implemented under a single brand "EU for Business."
He said prior to the implementation of specific programs and investment projects next year, the EU has launched a program to help SMEs in attracting investments and hopes that that will help them in the future to raise funds from the market.
Earlier, the head of the EU Delegation to Armenia Peter Switalski said the EU will support Armenia in 2016 in the tune of 23 million Euros as a non-direct financial assistance for the development of business. -0-
