Mirzoyan supports search for mutually acceptable solutions on Karabakh
YEREVAN, September 27. /ARKA/. The Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) issue remains unresolved, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said at a joint press briefing today with his Greek counterpart Nikos Dendias in Yerevan.
"Today, two years after the 44-day war in Artsakh in 2020 the issue remains unresolved because the problems underlying the conflict have not been resolved," Ararat Mirzoyan said.
He stressed that Armenia, as a responsible member of the international community, is committed to the principle of non-use of force and the threat of force.
"We reiterate our readiness to establish peace and stability in the region through peaceful negotiations," the minister said.
For his part, Dendias said that Greece supports the search for peaceful, mutually acceptable solutions for the issue within the framework of international law.
"However, solutions and peace cannot be built when there is a threat of force. This applies to the Caucasus as well as to the whole world," Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias said.
He said Greece will continue supporting the resumption of bilateral negotiations and the contribution of the EU and the U.S. in this matter. The minister also said that humanitarian issues should be resolved urgently. -0-
