EU to provide Armenia with 23 million euro assistance in 2016
YEREVAN, October 12. / ARKA /. The EU will provide Armenia with 23 million euro assistance in 2016, Peter Switalski, the head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, said today when speaking at the eighth annual ArmTech congress in Yerevan.
According to him, the money will be provided as non-direct financial assistance for the development of businesses. He said the EU will provide assistance for private sector development in Armenia.
He added that Armenia can seek assistance from EU’s 70-80 billion Euro fund, available to EU partners in the European Neighborhood Policy in the framework of two programs - the development of the competitiveness of SMEs and the Horizon 2020.
He said the business assistance programs starts next week. -0
