Armenia's State Revenue Committee ends illegal business activity

YEREVAN, August 22. /ARKA/. Acting on a tip Armenia's State Revenue Committee's officers ended illegal business activities of a group of people who remotely carried out cargo transportation in the domestic market of another country from an apartment in downtown Yerevan without state registration.

The 3-room apartment was furnished with desks and chairs, 20 computers with 40 monitors and telephones. All the computers were connected to Rostelecom network.

Some of the employees tried to take the computers out of the apartment, but the scene was immediately cordoned off.

As part of the criminal case opened by the Investigative Division of the State Revenue Committee, a search was conducted and physical evidence was seized, including all the computers.

Currently, investigation is underway to determine the full range of organizers of illegal activities, as well as to clarify the final amount of damage caused to the state. -0-
