Five people die from Covid-19 in Armenia in one week

YEREVAN, August 22. /ARKA/. Armenian health authorities recorded 1,913 new cases of coronavirus in a time span from August 15 to 21, up from 1,713 cases recorded a week earlier, the Ministry of Health reported.

It said some 2,417 citizens infected with Covid-19 are currently undergoing treatment. During the reporting week, 6,523 PCR tests were performed. Also, 1,663 people recovered during that period of time and five people died, down from 6 deaths from the infection reported the previous week.

A total of 432,274 cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in the country since the start of the pandemic and 419,528 of those infected had recovered.

The death toll from the disease stands now at 8,648 people. A total of 3,178,333 coronavirus tests have been reformed nationwide. -0-
