Armenia’s eight-month construction grows by 0.2 percent
YEREVAN, October 9. / ARKA /. In the first eight months of 2015 Armenia's construction secor showed a 0.2% year-on-year growth totaling 211 billion drams, according to the numbers released today by the National Statistical Service (NSS).
Population-paid construction grew by 17.6% to 51.6 billion drams or 24.5% of the overall construction volume. Corporate-paid construction grew by 1.7% to 100.8 billion drams or 47.8% of the total construction in the first seven months.
Construction paid by humanitarian organizations surged by 30.7% to about 4.9 billion drams, government-paid constriction dropped by 7.3% to 27.5 billion drams or 13% of the total and community-paid construction fell by 74.2% to 3.6 billion drams.
Construction paid for from international loans grew by 10% to 22.5 billion drams or 10.7% of the total construction. Over 6.7 billion drams worth construction was financed by World Bank loans, some 2 billion drams worth construction was financed by the EBRD loans, the Asian Development Bank financed 9.7 billion drams worth construction, the German KfW Bank financed 788 million drams worth construction and some 3.5 billion drams worth construction was financed by other sources.
