Matt Damon is science-ing the shit out of blockbuster success right now at the box office with "The Martian," and the movie is a big one in many ways. It features a sprawling ensemble, loads of effects, and runs well over the two-hour mark. So you might not be surprised that there was some material left on the cutting room floor.

A deleted scene from the movie has arrived, showing that the Damon charm offensive was felt in every frame in the picture, whether it made the cut or not.
