Armenian banks’ customers grow by 9.6 percent to 2.3 million people
YEREVAN, October 8. / ARKA /. At the end of 2015 July Armenian commercial banks had a total of 2,304,975 customers, an increase of approximately 9.6% from 2014 July, the National Statistical Service (NSS) told ARKA.
There were 79,366 corporate and 2,225,609 individual customers, it said. Individual customers held 3,913,740 bank accounts while corporate clients had 177, 638 bank accounts.
The total number of bank accounts grew from 3,599,928 at the end of 2014 July to 4,091,378. Individual deposits in the banks stood at 963.4 billion drams, having increased by over 9.6 billion drams from the previous month or 1%.
Compared to 2014 July they increased by 12.7% or 108.3 billion drams ($ 1 - 473.45 drams). SS-0-
