Armenian prime minister expects 3-4 percent growth this year
YEREVAN, October 8. / ARKA /. Armenian prime minister Hovik Abrahamyan predicted yesterday a 3-4% economic growth for this year. Speaking to reporters, he said money transfers from abroad in the first 8 months of the year slashed by $400 million, or about 25%, but added that this dramatic decline is being offset by a substantial growth in agriculture.
‘By the end of the year, I think we will fix a growth of 3%, 3.5% or 4%, " said Abrahamyan.
According to the Central Bank forecast, the economy will grow this year 2.5-3.5%, and 3.5-4.5% in 2016.
The government projection of 2015 inflation is 4% (± 1.5%). It also expects the GDP to grow by 4.1%. - 0-
