Government to release 66 million drams for residents of Tavush villages damaged by Azeri fire
YEREVAN, October 8. / ARKA /. The Armenian government will release 66.03 million drams for a number of communities in Tavush region, damaged by heavy weaponry shelling from the Azerbaijani side in the latest upsurge of fighting along the border.
The government took a relating decision today. Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations Vache Terteryan said the assistance will be allocated to 586 beneficiaries in 17 communities of the province.
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan stressed that this issue requires prompt decision and was taken on the request of the regional governor who asked the president for help.
"This question should be resolved quickly, and all the funds must reach the beneficiaries," Abrahamyan aid.
In the renewed tensions on the frontlines on September 25 four servicemen of the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army were killed. The day before Azeri shelling killed three civilians in Tavush region. Azerbaijani armed forces used artillery, multiple rocket launchers, mortars and grenade launchers to fire on Armenian positions.
The government also decided today to release 25 million drams for Tavush regional administration to build a suspension bridge across the river Debed. ($ 1 - 472.16 drams) .-- 0--
