Acsa’s Maseko named to influential body
Bongani Maseko, the chief executive of Airports Company South Africa, has been appointed vice-chairman of Airports Council International.
|||Johannesburg - Bongani Maseko, the chief executive of Airports Company South Africa (Acsa), has been appointed the vice-chairman of the world governing board of Airports Council International (ACI), a body representing the world’s airports.
Acsa said yesterday that the appointment would provide impetus to its ambitions to be a world-leading airport business that was efficient and customer-focused.
ACI, based in Montreal, Canada, boasts 591 regular members operating 1 861 airports in 177 countries. It represents airports interests with governments and international organisations, develops standards, policies and recommended practices for airports, and provides training opportunities.
