Thousands run in B.C. for cancer foundation
Thousands of cancer fighters hit the streets Sunday in the annual Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure, a national breast cancer research fundraiser that is now in it’s 24th year. Events were held in nine communities across B.C., including in Vancouver, where organizers said 5,444 participated in the local run, which raised an estimated $942, 676. In total, an estimated $21.5 million was raised in over 60 communities across Canada.
