U.S. comic Sarah Silverman hails NDP policy on wearing niqab, urges support for Oreck in Vancouver-Granville

The NDP’s election campaign received a celebrity endorsement Sunday from U.S. comedian Sarah Silverman, who sent out a tweet to her 6.9 million followers praising Tom Mulcair’s stance on the niqab. In the same tweet, Silverman encouraged followers to vote for local NDP candidate Mira Oreck, who’s in a close race with the Liberals’ Jody Wilson-Raybould in the new riding of Vancouver-Granville.
