Armenia to lift coronavirus restrictions on entry visas for citizens of several countries
YEREVAN, June 30. /ARKA/. The government of Armenia will allow citizens of some countries to obtain entry visa at the border and will simplify the procedure for citizens of some other countries.
A decision to this effect was made at a government meeting on Thursday.
These restrictions were introduced in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. The government said the removal of the restrictions is due to the improvement of the situation with Covid-19.
According to this decision, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria and Vietnam will be removed from the list of countries whose citizens can obtain visas to visit Armenia only by invitation at its diplomatic missions and consulates.
Another decision proposes to clarify the list of countries whose citizens can apply for an entry visa to Armenian diplomatic missions, consulates, through the electronic system E-visa or at the border of Armenia. A single application form for obtaining a visa, regardless of the method of application will be established
The possibility of obtaining entry visas at the border will be resumed for the citizens of 21 countries. For the citizens of 51 countries this possibility will be established if they have a residence permit or a valid visa in a number of developed countries, including the EU, the Schengen Agreement and the Persian Gulf. -0-
