Armenia and Republic of Korea to establish customs cooperation

YEREVAN, June 24. /ARKA/. Armenia and the Republic of Korea are planning to sign an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in customs affairs and mutual assistance, Armenia's State Revenue Committee (SRC) said.

It said a set of issues related to preparations for signing this document were discussed the day before in Brussels by the head of SRC Rustam Badasyan and Taisek Yuni, the head of the Customs Service of the Republic of Korea.

The sides were said to have discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest and outlined prospects for future cooperation, including cooperation in electronic trade and "smart" risk management.

An agreement was reached to organize a study visit of the staff of the Armenian State Revenue Committee to the Republic of Korea to get acquainted with its information systems.

The meeting between the heads of the customs services of Armenia and the Republic of Korea was held in the frames of the session of the World Customs Organization in Brussels on June 23-25.-0-
