Everton captain Jagielka: Strange facing Liverpool without Gerrard
Everton captain Phil Jagielka admits it will be strange facing Liverpool tomorrow without Steven Gerrard.
Gerrard left Liverpool over the summer for LA Galaxy.
Jagielka told the Telegraph: “It will be strange for both sets of players not seeing Stevie as captain. He didn't miss many derbies when he was at Liverpool. Maybe that will give us a psychological advantage. He has performed very well in derby matches and scored a lot of crucial goals so it can only be a positive for us that he's not involved.
“They had Jamie Carragher and Stevie over the years and quite a few local lads in derby matches. We may not have a tremendous amount of local lads but we've got enough, and we've lads who've been here for a long, long time and know what these games are about. "
