Armenia’s real estate transactions in August slash by 15 percent year-on-year
YEREVAN, October 2. / ARKA /. The number of real estate transactions in 2015 August slashed by 14.7% year-on-year to 15,022, the State Committee of Real Estate Cadastre of Armenia said in a report. It also said the number of transactions in 2015 August decreased by 7.7% when compared to July.
The largest number of real estate transactions in the reporting period were registered in Yerevan - 33.1% of the total number, and the smallest number in Vayots Dzor region - 1.9%. Kotayk region accounted for 11.7% of total transactions, Armavir for 8.7%, Ararat for 9.6%, Lori for 7.3%, Shirak for 6.9% Gegharkunik for 6.2%, Syunik for 5.2%, Tavush for 4.8%, and Aragatsotn for 4.6%.
According to the agency, 27% of the transactions were sale or purchase of houses and 10.3% were primary registration of homes. Another 10.5% home inheritance transactions, 8.8% were mortgaged homes, 3.5% were home rent deals and 39.2% were other deals.-0-
